From Florence's Amerigo Vespucci airport take the “Vola in bus” shuttle bus to Santa Maria Novella train station (the trip takes around 20 minutes) from there continue as described in “By train”.

By train
Hotel Malaspina is 700 meters from Santa Maria Novella S.M.N. train station. A bus (no. 7 from the Toraldo stop to the Indipendenza stop) takes 5 minutes to get to the hotel, or you can walk along Via Nazionale and get there in 10 minutes. Via Nazionale ends in Piazza dell'Indipendenza, the Hotel Malaspina is located at no. 24.

By car
From the north: from autostrada A1, exit at "Firenze Nord" and follow the signs for the center (centro). At the end of Viale Francesco Redi, turn right and then left on Via Guido Monaco. Drive to the end of Via Guido Monaco, and turn left on Via Fratelli Rosselli. After the underpass that go under the train tracks take the Viali di Circonvallazione that go around Fortezza da Basso. Take Viale Lavagnini and turn right at the first signal on Via Santa Caterina d'Alessandria, continue for 500 meters until you reach Piazza dell'Indipendenza, Hotel Malaspina is located at no. 24. From the south: from autostrada A1, exit at “Firenze Sud” and follow the signs for Piazza della Libertà. Before the Piazza you'll be on Viale Lavagnini, turn right at the first signal on Via Santa Caterina d'Alessandria and continue for 500 meters until you reach Piazza dell'Indipendenza, Hotel Malaspina is located at no. 24.
